Hi Eloy! What does The Fair Cottage do?
We promote curated sustainable clothing & outdoor gear products provided with transparent information from certified ethical brands.
Why is it going to change the world?
We are building conscious consumption values alongside with a marketplace made to solve the actual retail struggles in EU.
What led you to start the company?
As a surfer, it was frustrating to not find clear information and more brands that offer ecological alternatives. I saw the necessity of having a higher level of understanding and demanding sustainable goods.
Where do you go when you need advice?
I ask through different groups and colleages.
What do you wish you could tell yourself at the beginning of the journey?
Take it easy!
What keeps you going through tough times?
The vision of a better consumption model.
How has the pandemic impacted your business?
People are more aware of the environmental issues and at the same time, consume more online. It have a positive impact In my business that come along on the right time, when we need better marketplaces focused on the standards of the future.
What’s the most exciting thing you’re working on right now?
Developing a carbon-neutral calculator for a complex multivendor system.
What’s been your most memorable moment since founding the company?
Getting our first sales!
